{"id":6,"date":"2023-10-17T12:40:47","date_gmt":"2023-10-17T12:40:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/oxspringfriends.co.uk\/?page_id=6"},"modified":"2026-10-02T16:27:56","modified_gmt":"2026-10-02T16:27:56","slug":"home","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/oxspringfriends.co.uk\/","title":{"rendered":"OXSPRING FRIENDS"},"content":{"rendered":"\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"western wp-elements-2 wp-block-paragraph\" align=\"left\">Welcome to the Oxspring Friends&#8217; web site.<\/p>\r\n<p class=\"western\" align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">We are a small group of volunteers working for the Oxspring Community and we raise funds to support a variety of activities in the village to suit all ages and abilities.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"western\" align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><b>What we currently offer &#8211; for further information see under events<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, serif;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Indoor Bowling &#8211; October until April &#8211; every Monday afternoon 2 pm at St Aidans<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\r\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, serif;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Munch and Mingle \u2013 first Saturday in the month 10.00 a.m. &#8211; 12 noon at St Aidans &#8211; February to November<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\r\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, serif;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Christmas Market with hot mulled wine and mince pies \u2013 December in St Aidans <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\r\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, serif;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Christmas Carol concert in December with free drinks, nibbles, live music and a visit from Father Christmas <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\r\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, serif;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Christmas hamper project &#8211; see further information under <a href=\"https:\/\/oxspringfriends.co.uk\/index.php\/events\/\">events<\/a><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\r\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, serif;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Recognition of special events, i.e. important birthdays, loss of a loved one, illness etc. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, serif;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">All the above events and activities have proved to be very popular and our Munch and Mingle events are very well attended and are a good fund raiser for all the other things we do throughout the year. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, serif;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">We continue to go from strength to strength and have been very lucky to join forces with some of the ladies from St Aidan&#8217;s Church who give us much needed support with our events. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"western\" align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">If you think you might be interested in joining us please do not hesitate to contact us via the following email address.
